For many years, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Sinn Spezialuhren have enjoyed a close and successful partnership – one that has already resulted in a number of exceptional watch editions.
With the 556 I F.A.Z. II O,limited to 100 pieces, the two long-established companies are continuing their successful collaboration. The timepiece combines the characteristically clean, understated design of the 556 series with expressive colour accents and distinctive details.
The 556 I F.A.Z. II O features orange indices and hands set against a silver-coloured background. The choice of dial is a deliberate tribute to the 25th anniversary of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (F.A.S.). The clear design ensures excellent readability while giving each watch a distinctive character of its own.
A special reference to the F.A.Z. is revealed in the date display: instead of the numeral “1”, the “F” from the F.A.Z. appears in the date window. Subtle yet unmistakable, this distinctive detail expresses the close connection between timepiece and newspaper in a very special way – while paying tribute to Frankfurt’s long-established Sunday newspaper.
The satinised stainless-steel case emphasises the functional yet timeless character of both models. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is anti-reflective on both sides, ensuring optimum readability. The watches are also ideally equipped to meet the demands of everyday use, being water-resistant and pressure-resistant to 20 bar.
The individual character of these special editions continues on the case back. Alongside the individual limited-edition number, the winding rotor bears an engraving of the “Kluger Kopf” (“Bright Mind”), the well-known emblem of the F.A.Z. advertising campaign. This makes each of the just 200 timepieces an unmistakable collector’s piece.
